Quit as a Champion!

I often hear this: "don't quit!"
"Quitters never win and winners never quit!"
Show me a man who can fight and win everyday. I don't think such a man has been born yet.

Life is full of challenges from our every day activities and our encounters through myriads of things we would want to achieve cannot be over emphasized. After that dark cloud comes sunshine. Man tolls every now and then to fulfill his purpose in life and is a great deal to find that purpose at first. But after the discovery there's a brighter day ahead only that one must conquer many great deals.

You said, you want to be this or that but what are you doing to be this or that? Many are the things we would all like to be before our time passes us by and to get there we all need to set at it at dawn. Nothing good comes easily but it finally comes to those who wait, who fights, who defiles fears, who faces the uncertain tomorrow today, who tolls both day and night, who plants and waters rain or sunshine and never gives up no matter what time says!

I might not be a friend in real life to champions like Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Martin Luther King, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi, Kenneth David Kaunda but the kind of life each of them lived or living is a bunch of inspiration to me. I do not know them on personal ground but the kind of information that I have read about each of them brings me closer to them. Some of them may not really look like champions to you but it doesn't mean that after loosing a fight as a boxer you quit. What makes you legendary is how you manage to deal with defeat and finally becomes a winner again!

A certain student who happens to be a member of a local church with me in my community inspired me recently. She told me of so many things she would like to achieve in life. She's thriving to be a media mogul some day and a spiritual leader but the kind of time she devoted into achieving that blown me off. After having some kind of hiccups doing her video editing project owing to her faulty laptop she approached me to use a laptop made available to me.
I watched her interestingly and painstakingly edited a 15 minute short- film project as a second year student in film directing and editing in a school in my community. She denied herself a lot of fun and pleasure out there and left her comfort zone to work in an office for the whole night out in order to become what she wants to be in life.
I have been drawing a lot of energy, hope and inspiration from people that I have around me.Unknowingly to them!

Like what Muhammad Ali says "...suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion!" I say, no man can fight and win everyday, you win some and loose some but in whatever you do, quit as a champion!
