'THE EFFECT OF PRAYER': People in my community.

"And there appeared an angel to Him from heaven, strengthening Him" - Luke 22:43
.
The whole summary of the effect of prayer is that is gives strength to the person that prays be it physical, spiritual, mental, emotional or financial. Many a times we give up too soon or we faint in the day of adversity (Prov. 24:10) for lack of strength.
.
Jesus would have backed out from accomplishing His task on earth because a crucial time came when He doesn't have sufficient strength to face the mission until He prayed (Luke 22:42).
.
David too was greatly distressed when his wives, children and others that were with it were abducted, having wept, he encouraged himself in the Lord to pray (1 Sam.30:1-8).
.
How soon do you give up over a matter before you overcome it? No matter the situation, when you pray, strength will be released to face the situation.
.
It takes strength obtained in the place of prayer to exercise spiritual authority, get directions and guidance in the face of life's challenges. And it's often said that a prayerless man is a powerless man and remains valid in all situations.
.
Falling into temptation (Luke 22:40), fainting in the day of adversity (Prov. 24:10) or being defeated in the battles of life are all a function of lack of strength in your inner man that could have been obtained in the place of prayer.
.
Rather than be overwhelmed by the cares, worries and challenges of life, why not seek a moment to gather strength in the place of prayer? This is why Jesus told His disciples that men ought always to pray and not to faint (Luke 18:1).
.
Do you have enough strength to face the issues of life? Pray more and without ceasing because today's strength may be insufficient to face tomorrow's battle.
