'STUDY': People in my community.

.
Imagine you writing an examination which you are not prepared for. While in the hall, you asked a friend for an answer to a particular question which he gave you and you believed it was right. After the examination, you discover that the answer was wrong. How would you feel?
.
Life throws on our faces series of trials and test we must survive before we emerge as winners. And before we succeed, knowledge of certain things is needed so that when we apply them, victory can be ours.
.
As it is grevious to give a wrong answer for a question, so it is when you become deceived in life. Such situation might be irreversible.
.
It is bad that many dwell on wrong information, perception and belief when making major decisions in life. Many are misinformed, deceived or misled by not only false prophets but by their friends. It is bad to dwell on information that lack basis or genuine proof.
.
God's word is His mouth piece to us. You and I have unhindered access to it. It is foolishness to depend on what people say on decisions like who to marry, the kind of job to take or where to live. We are told to study to show ourselves approved unto God (2 Tim. 2:15).
.
The beauty of studying is to commit what you read to heart. Nobody can take away what you know from you provided you choose not to let it out through deceit and negligence.
.
Are you deliberating on committing premarital/extramarital sex, giving, payments of tithes, living a holy life, the possibility of being sexually pure or faithful?
.
Don't live on what people say. Search the scripture, in it you will find life and truth. Even if a 'man of God' says any contrary thing to His Word, never accept. It is laziness to use your Bible once in a week (Sundays) when you browse on your phone everyday. How would you overcome temptation and deceit?
.
When you study His word directly and keep it in your heart, you will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water (Ps. 1:3) and your profiting shall be known to all (1 Tim. 4:15). It will also prevent you from being deceived by false prophets and their doctrines because of the truth you know (John 8:32).
.
Be a diligent student of His word and you'll be surprised to see yourself liberated from deception.
