DO YOU REMEMBER HIS WORD?

"I will never forget Your precepts: for with them You have quickened me" - Psalm 119:93
.
Why do you use to forget His precepts? Why don't you keep them when the time comes? These are thoughtful questions you need to address in life. Is it as a result of being forgetful or due to your lack of meditating in them?
.
If God's word would transform you, then you need not to forget them. Until you address the cause of your inability to remember His word, you won't be quickened by them.
.
Why do people forget His word despite the numbers of churches we have? Many usually allow the devil to deceive them like he did to Eve (Gen. 3:4-5) and whosoever is deceived is not wise (Prov. 20:1b).
.
Joseph didn't forget His precepts this is why he fled the sexual advances he got from his master's wife (Gen. 39:7-14). You can be a child of God and be deceived and destroyed when you fail to recall His word in the face of temptation.
.
It is the word that you remember or that the Holy Spirit brings to your remembrance which you then keep that can quicken you.
.
Do you know that anyone that eats the fruit of sin will die? As it happened to Adam and Eve, so it's happening to men. Don't let sin look enticing or pleasurable, the consequence of it is too grievous to bear.
.
How would you be able to remember His word? Meditate in them day and night (Josh. 1:8), guard them jealously in your heart lest the devil takes them away (Luke 8:12). Be filled with the Holy Spirit so that He can bring them to your remembrance (John 14:26).
.
God knows that your memory is limited but the Holy Spirit's is limitless. You will also forget His word when you allow the cares of life to erase them from your heart - what to eat, drink, be clothed with and what tomorrow holds (Matt. 6:31,34). But when you cast them upon the Lord, He will sustain them for you (Psalms 55:22, 1 Pet. 5:7).
.
Do you forget His word or you remember to keep them? It is His word you remember that you won't transgress and that would set you free in life!
