WHO ARE YOUR FRIENDS: People in my community?

"I am a companion of them that fear You, of them that keep Your precepts" - Psalm 119:63
.
It's commonly said that show me your friends and I will tell who you are. The friends you keep defines your personality and how far you'd go in life.
.
Who are your friends? The Psalmist tells us the kind of friends he keeps. Do your friends fear God and keep His commandments? How can you identify them?
.
They are ungodly, sinners and scornful. They're those who delights in the law of the Lord (Ps. 1:1-2). They live their lives according to the scripture and not according to the situation the society puts them.
.
These people are representatives of Christ in word, conversation, conduct, spirit, faith and purity (1 Tim. 4:12).
.
Whom you walk, relate and choose to be your friend will determine the order of your life. Amnon choose Jonadab as his friend, he died prematurely as he was advised to implement his inordinate affection (2 Sam. 13:1-4).
.
Proverbs 13:20 tells us that he that walks with the wise shall be wise but the companion of fools shall be destroyed.
.
The relationship between David and Jonathan was a perfect example of having friends that fear God (1 Sam. 18, 2 Sam. 1:17-27).
.
Who are your friends? It's better not to have friends, if possible than to have the ones that would destroy your life. Any friend that doesn't take you closer to God will drag you to hell. Be careful of the friends you keep because they're meant to sharpen your countenance (Prov. 27:17) and not ruin your life.
.
Who are your friends? Do they exert a negative influence over your life? If you can't separate them, ask God to help you. The yardstick for having friends is that they must fear God and keep His commandments, not just church goers or religious folks.
