'A COMPASSIONATE HEART'

"Rivers of waters run down my eyes, because they keep not Your law" - Psalm 119:136
.
God was the first person to grieve because of the condition of the souls of men (Gen. 6:1-7). This grief led to their salvation by building an Ark as He instructed Noah.
.
Moses too cried to God when He was bent on destroying the Israelites because of their stiff-neckedness (Ex. 32:9-14). Are you grieved when you see perishing souls? What do you do?
.
A man who's not compassionate about perishing souls does not have a heart of compassion. Jesus wept because of the death that was transferred into mankind (John 11:35).
.
A believer of Christ who doesn't have a compassionate heart will do nothing about the souls that are perishing. When you have this kind of heart, you'll be committed more to soul winning and intercession for lost souls.
.
Look around you, there are many who are not keeping His law. Are you moved about the state of iniquity that has filled the earth? What are you doing about it?
.
Go out into the world and make disciples (Matt. 28:19-20), this is our primary duty as disciples. A soul that's not converted into His disciple is a weapon in the hand of the devil.
.
There's joy in heaven over one sinner that repent (Luke 15:7,10). It's not your tithe, offering or 'good' works that brings joy to heaven, it's the soul that you bring into His kingdom. Everybody cannot be a pastor or evangelist, but we're meant to be soul winners.
.
Why should you have a compassionate heart? They are wise that turn many to righteousness (Dan. 12:3). And if you win a sinner for the Lord, you've saved a soul from death (James 5:20).
.
You can't win lost souls for Christ if you don't have a compassionate heart. A compassionate heart doesn't only weep, it'll do something about what made it weep (Matt. 14:14).
.
Brethren, Jesus is coming soon. What are you doing about the lost souls around you who have not kept His law? And concerning your own soul too?
