'AN EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS'

"Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and your law is the truth" - Psalm 119:142
.
Righteousness is a state of being right with God in terms of holiness, purity, uprightness and conforming one's life to divine laws.
.
However, everlasting means enduring forever, immortal or eternal.
.
There are three types of righteousness: self-righteousness, righteousness of the law and righteousness of God which is obtained through Jesus and it's similar to the righteousness obtained by faith (Rom. 10:3-6).
.
Self-righteousness and the righteousness of the law is not everlasting. If you must be right with God, you must obtain the righteousness of God through Christ because it is the only righteousness that would enable you to reign with Christ.
.
Are you working towards His own righteousness or you're justifying your righteousness according to the law?
.
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes (Rom. 10:4) but this doesn't encourage lawlessness. Grace came so that man's life by faith can be right with God as he looks up to Jesus and not the law as his standard.
.
Self-righteousness is living one's life according to how the Pharisees lived theirs (Luke 18:11-12); of the law was found in how the rich young ruler lived his life (Matt. 19:16-20) and of faith is found in the prayer of the Publican (Luke 18:13-14).
.
You have to eliminate every form of self-righteousness in you and living according to the righteousness of the law (church, religion).
.
How can you obtain His righteousness? Look up to Jesus as the author of your faith (Heb. 12:2). Believe in Him as your model for righteousness (Rom. 10:4,10) and allow that belief to transform you to His image (Col. 2:6-7).
.
In a nutshell, you need His grace to walk as He has walked and to live as He has lived.
.
Can you attain His righteousness in terms of holiness, purity, uprightness and conforming to divine laws? Yes you can! Ask for the grace to walk and live as He did.
.
Without His righteousness, no soul can reign with Him.
