UNLESS YOU DELIGHT'

"Unless Your law had been my delight, I should then have perished in my affliction" - Psalm 119:92
.
A life without an intimate relationship with God is a chaotic life. It is a life that will be occasioned with lots of yokes, burdens and affliction. Mind you, knowing God or having an intimate relationship with Him does not mean total calm because you're in the world (John 16:33). It only implies having an assurance of victory in spite of the tribulation.
.
The Psalmist knew this fact and appreciated how his delight in His law had prevented him from perishing (Ps. 119:92). In another vein, unless Jesus had come to die for you, you would have perish and be doomed eternally.
.
One opportunity or blessing derived in delighting in His law is that it warns you and preserve your life and soul (Ps. 19:11). What do you think would have been the fate of a man that do not delight in His law?
.
Had Adam and Eve had delighted in keeping His law, they wouldn't have tasted death and transferred same to the entire human race (Gen. 3:6; Rom. 5:19).
.
Do you delight in His law? If you do, you will ensure that you keep everything diligently while none is left behind. It is only His law that can guide you in life when you walk in its way.
.
God's law could come in any form: whether written or spoken, they could come from godly instruction or advice. But if you fail to keep them, it will not benefit you.
.
Note, every law of God are truths. When you know them and you keep them diligently, it is then that they can set you free and deliver you from any form of destruction (John 8:32, Ps. 107:20).
.
What do you delight in? Is it capable of preventing you from perishing in your affliction or preserve you? It's time for you to seek His law like never before and ask Him for grace to delight in it so that you can enjoy all the benefits attached to them.
