THE POWER OF REVELATION'

"And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona; for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but My Father which is in heaven (Matthew 16:17).
.
Power is the ability to do work and beyond that, it enables a man to do certain things which he might ordinarily be unable to do. Without power, lots of activities would be left undone or attended to.
.
Revelation is making known what is hidden or that which cannot be known. On the issues of life, without revelation, man would be completely ignorant of the things he ought to know...for without vision, the people perish.
.
It takes the power of revelation to enable a man know what he ought to do, understand times and seasons (1 Chron. 12:32) and to spend his time wisely (Psalm 90:12).
.
None of Jesus' disciple could identify the true personality of Jesus until God revealed it to Peter. It takes God's spirit to reveal such (John 16:13).
.
Thirst for understanding brethren, seek it more than you'll seek silver and gold.
.
It takes the power of revelation to have spiritual understanding of the issues of life, to know the right person to marry, to serve God acceptably and to know the will of God.
.
Only God can give man this power. David asked and he received it (Ps. 119:125). Your understanding of God is a function of your spiritual understanding coupled with the revelation you have.
.
It takes revelation to trade divine secrets as in the case of Job, to avoid death before your time as in the case of Jesus.
.
Without the Holy Spirit, no one can possess the power of revelation. When God gives you His Spirit, it reveals God's mind to you and you'll not be taken unawares in the issues of life.
