'HOW TO FIGHT'

"Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a shield: but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel; whom you have defied" - 1 Samuel 17:45
.
Physical weapons are unsuitable in fighting life's battles especially when they're spiritual. And you can't win a battle you don't know how to fight.
.
King Saul and the armies of Israel couldn't fight a good warfare with the Philistines, this was why he challenged them for days. They thought a helmet of brass, a coat of mail would be enough to overcome a Goliath (1 Sam. 17:38).
.
However, spiritual battles can't be fought using physical strength. King Saul and David's brother were stronger than David physically but spiritually they were weak.
.
Spiritual strength is required in fighting a good warfare, especially spiritual battles. Zechariah 4:6 tells us that it's not by power, nor by might but by the Spirit of God.
.
How do you fight your spiritual battles? David said, "Some trust in chariot, some trust in horses but we will remember the name of the Lord" (Ps. 20:7). The name of the Lord is stronger and greater than the enemy you intend to fight.
.
The name of the Lord is mightier than the gathering of the enemy (Psalm 118:10-12). However, for that name to be effective in your life, you must possess the right and ability to use it.
.
If you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus, you cannot use His name. The sons of Sceva thought they could use Jesus' name whom Paul preach but sadly, they were publicly disgraced (Acts 19:13-16).
.
Some battles are best fought through prayer and fasting (Matt. 17:21). All you need to fight is to be sensitive to divine leading. David won't have won the battle if he had used his own wisdom or Saul's armor.
.
Are you ready to fight and win your battles? Do the needful!
