WHEN SHOULD I PRAY?'

"And He spoke a parable to them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint" - Luke 18:1
.
Prayer ought to be an every time act - it shows ones dependency on God for everything one needs. But unfortunately, many only pray when evil occurs or something good is about to happen.
.
Jesus' parable on prayer tells you to always pray and not lose heart in any situation in life because if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small (Prov. 24:10).
.
When should I pray? Before temptation comes your way and not during it (Matt. 26:41). When you pray before temptation, you won't enter into it and if you do due to lack of carefulness, you won't be defeated. Had Samson prayed, he won't have entered into temptation.
.
When should I pray? When something good is about to happen so that it will come to pass and won't be hindered or delayed. Has God shown you something concerning your life, pray for their fulfillment and don't fold your hands.
..
When should I pray? When there's an alarm for war (2 Chron. 20:1-25). It's normal to be afraid when there's danger or when you have nightmares but it takes boldness to pray.
When should I pray? In the evening, morning and at noon (Psalm 55:17) addressing all your needs to God.
.
When should I pray? When the Holy Spirit places a burden or an urge in you to pray because that is when He wants to act on your behalf (Ps. 32:6).
.
Pray always so that you will be accounted worthy to escape all these things (occurrence of the last days) and to stand before the son of man (Luke 21:36).
.
Are you man enough to pray? Only men pray but the weak faints. Ask God for strength to make prayer an habit and not see it as a task or burden.
