WHOSE WORD DO I SPEAK?

"My tongue shall speak of Your word: for all Your commandments are righteousness" - Psalm 119:172
.
A man can either speak words motivated by God's spirit or the flesh depending on who influences his life.
.
Speaking His word entails evangelism or declaring the gospel message (Matt. 28:19-20) and words that edify and minister grace to the hearers (Eph. 4:29).
.
It is better that you don't speak than to utter words that are not His...for every idle words that a man speak, he shall give account of them (Matt. 12:36).
.
You need divine grace to speak only His word anywhere and anytime. If your tongue will speak His word, you must fill your heart with His word because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45).
.
You must also learn to speak when He has something to say through you and you shouldn't just speak when you have nothing to say (James 3:2).
.
To speak His word, you should ask for grace to be quiet in your spirit so that you can hear what He wants you to say.
.
If you must speak His word, you must put away all evil speaking (1 Pet. 2:1) such as deceit, lies, flattering, gossip, cursing, vulgar words and so on.
.
Whose word does your tongue speak? Take heed to the words you speak on daily basis and ask for grace to speak only His word.
