'USE THAT GIFT': People in my community.

"Neglect not the gift that is in you, which is given you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery" - 1 Timothy 4:14
.
God has deposited a gift in you which you're to use to bring glory and honor to His name. But unfortunately, many are using their gifts to promote self, immoralities and ungodliness while some haven't discovered theirs.
.
Until a man discover what he has as a gift, he will not appreciate or use it efficiently. There's the natural gift and the spiritual gift. How often do you use them?
.
Paul told Timothy not to neglect the gift that was in him (1 Tim. 4:14). A neglected gift is not useful to the owner and unprofitable to the giver.
.
Have you even discovered your gift? Some can write, talk (not talkative), sing, draw and the likes. Your natural gift is what you're naturally endowed with. When you use it, it becomes more effective and you improve on it.
.
There's reward in using the gift that is in you (Prov. 18:16; 17:8). When you then become diligent in using it, you'll stand before great men (Prov. 22:29).
.
Spiritual gifts are received through the baptism of the Holy Ghost and He gives them at will (1 Cor. 12:11). Moreover, spiritual gifts complement natural gifts.
 .
Don't allow people discourage you in using your gift otherwise you'll become unfaithful to the One that has given you. Paul used his writing gift to write a large portion of the New Testament and his ability to speak to win souls.
.
You never can tell when or where you'll use your gift that would pave way for you to stand before great men. But importantly, use your gift to the glory of God.
