'FLEE'

"But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness" - 1 Timothy 6:11
.
Every athlete in a race run from a thing to aim at a thing far greater than what they're running from.
.
Paul told Timothy to flee the love of money and those who teaches false doctrines. To flee is to run without looking back or holding onto a thing.
.
Joseph fled from his master's wife sexual invite because he doesn't want to sin against God. What will you flee from?
.
A man or woman can't run away from a thing if he doesn't know why he must run. Flee youthful lust in your relationship. Flee every appearance of evil and don't negotiate.
.
Run away from covetousness, the love of money and those who teach heresies. Run away from relationship that would destroy your life and those sinful habits such as masturbation, pornography, alcoholism, stealing, worldliness and so on.
.
You can't successfully flee from a thing if you don't aim at something greater. Pursue righteousness, to be in a right standing with God; godliness, be devoted to God; faith, seek to please God; love God wholeheartedly and your neighbor as yourself; embrace patience and meekness.
.
What are you running from and what are you aiming at?
.
Run from those things that would prevent you from inheriting God's kingdom. Run from sin. Run for your life and eternity so that you won't be left behind.
.
Flee from the embrace of the adulteress that hunts for the precious life. Don't joke with sin. Don't toy with the world and its alluring lust.
.
If others aren't running, join others that are running for the prize. Run the race to merit eternal life. Don't look at others who are falling, look at those who have succeeded in the race.
.
Ask God for the strength to run!
