UNFEIGNED FAITH'

"When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in you, which dwelled first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in you also" - 2 Timothy 1:5
.
What does unfeigned faith means? It means to simply trust in the Lord. There are different things in life that people put their trust in. Some trust in their silver and gold and some trust in their chariot and horses (Ps. 20:7) but only few put their trust in God.
.
To trust in the Lord means to have confidence in Him, to rely on Him or to depend on Him. Some trust in the Lord based on what He has done for them in the past, some trust in His name, regardless of the basis, let your trust be in God and not in your own understanding.
.
According to a hymn writer, he stated that "They that trust in the Lord are secured", no matter the raging storms of life, they will overcome. Scripturally, they that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion which cannot be removed but abides forever (Ps. 125:1).
.
However, the simplest way of trusting in God is to hold onto His word. The 3 Hebrew boys held onto God's word. They choose to do what the word says (You shall not bow to any other gods except Me) than to do what the king says (Dan. 3).
.
To simply trust in God is to look up to Him with an eye of faith. As long as Peter maintained his gaze on Jesus, he walked on the water but when he saw the boisterous wind, he sank (Matt. 14:24-33).
.
It is an unfeigned faith that would persistently seek His face until He performs that which he seeks. This is the kind of faith Jesus questioned if He'd meet when He returns (Luke 18:8). Sadly, the enemies of unfeigned faith are doubt and unbelief.
.
Do you put your trust in God? Destroy every stronghold of doubt and unbelief in your heart that will prevent you from putting your trust in God.
