The Hunter And The Hunted.

(Bushman)
Have you ever watched a lion hunting its prey? If you're ever familiar with animal documentary, especially NatGeo Wild, I'm sure you'd have understood what I'm driving at.
.
A lion or a hunter doesn't just hunt anyhow animal. In fact, no hunter hunts a dead animal, he'll prefer to catch his prey live, kill it and devour or roast it depending on how hungry he is for the catch.
.
At times, the lion will chase its prey till it becomes weak and vulnerable. At times, the lion will walk subtly to catch its prey from behind if it's not too far from it. Whichever the case, a lion hunts after an animal that's fit and healthy, not a weakling or a sick animal.
.
This scenario brings to mind a scripture in the Holy Bible, "...and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life" (Prov. 6:26b).
.
Do you know that the forces in charge of adultery that makes both married people and singles to commit illicit sex doesn't just target anyhow people? They hunt for those who have precious lives.
.
Whose life are precious?
.
1. Those whose destines are precious before God
.
These are people whom God has specially ordain to fulfill a particular mandate in their generation. They do not carry the same grace that ordinary people have. They are rare in every generation.
.
They are people like the biblical Joseph who was to preserve his family and generation in the time of famine.
.
As a lady, they are people like Esther who came into the kingdom so that her people won't be victims of mass slaughter (genocide). They are like virgin Mary who is to birth the savior in their generation.
.
Do you know that you're precious in God's sight? He didn't just create you to be among the population of the world. I beg you to guard your life very well against the adulteress that hunts after the precious life.
.
2. Those who have the spirit of excellence in them
.
Whether you believe it or not, everyone has a measure of excellence in them but it's either destroyed through illicit sex, the devil or left unutilized.
.
Reuben was destined to excel in dignity and power but because he allowed the adulteress to hunt after his preciousness through his father's wife, he attracted a curse of 'Thou shall not excel'.
.
There's more to illicit sex that just fun.
.
3. Those who are strong men or women
.
Those who are strong aren't called such because of their physical appearance but because of their unyieldingness and the level of influence they command.
.
The spirit behind the adulteress doesn't target spiritual weaklings or financially poor people, it targets those who are on fire for God, those who are making waves academically, financially and those who are enjoying marital bliss in their relationship.
.
Guard against the intrusion of this force or spirit in your life. It won't enter your life suddenly but would weaken your self-control until you lose your guard against them. It weakens you when you allow 'just a little' kissing, petting, caressing, erotic conversations and those indecent touches before it leads you to sexual defilement.
.
More so, never compare yourself with anyone. Some people may get away with first time premarital sex and that may never be your case. Some might keep having it and their fall won't be noticeable because they're dead already. But if you are with a precious destiny and you venture into it, you'll never escape its consequences.
.
Anyone that offers you sex freely is a destiny hunter that's looking for something precious in you to destroy. Lest the devil take advantage of you, do not be ignorant of his schemes - to steal, kill and destroy.
.
No animal becomes hunted and comes alive again. If by chance it escape the claws of the predator or the hunter's bullet, it'll be forever disfigured and unfit for living. You can't toil with premarital or extramarital sex and retain the preciousness that God has destined you with; something is missing, something is introduced and reduced.
.
Would you like to escape the adulteress that hunts after precious lives?
.
1. Fear God like Joseph (Gen. 39:9)
2. Please God (Eccl. 7:26) and not your boyfriend or girlfriend. It's confusion not to know what to do when your boyfriend or girlfriend wants you to displease God by pleasing him or her sexually.
3. Flee fornication (1 Cor. 6:18). It's a sin against your body. Illicit sex damages your body, spirit and soul.
.
Beware of the adulteress that hunts after the precious life. That your boyfriend or girlfriend or even that married man or woman is under the influence of the adulteress that hunts after those with precious destinies.
.
Watch and pray lest you fall into their temptation.
