'VESSEL - HONORABLE OR UNTO DISHONOR?

"But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver; but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor and some to dishonor" - 2 Timothy 2:20
.
The above scripture has clearly described that there are several kinds of vessels: gold, silver, wood and earth while some is used for honor and some used for dishonor.
.
Similarly, the life of a man can either be classified as a gold or wood. It depends on the work he manifest.
.
A vessel is a container which a liquid is poured into it or a container used for a specific purpose. However, your life becomes like a gold or silver when you use it for your Creator.
.
Do you know that golden or silver spoon are better cherished than vessels of wood or earth? King Solomon started off as a vessel unto honor but he ended up as a vessel unto dishonor (1 King 3:3; 11:1-14). Judas too was a vessel unto honor before he allowed Satan to enter him and became a vessel to dishonor.
.
It is not how you started in God that matters, it is how well you finish because better is the end of a man's walk with God than his beginning thereof.
.
Are you a vessel unto honor or dishonor?
.
You can be used as an honorable vessel before God, yet you would be disqualified at the latter end because of your life (Matt. 7:21-23). The only way of avoiding to be a dishonorable vessel is to purge yourself from besetting sins and to always examine yourself if you're in faith.
