'JOY UNSPEAKABLE (2)'

"Whom having not seen, you love; though now, you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your soul" - (1 Peter 1:8-9)
.
Have you seen any soldier that won a battle with a sad countenance? Do you even think Jesus would have died for mankind with a depressed look?
.
The writer of the Book of Hebrews told us about His approach to the cross: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame...(Heb. 12:2).
.
The joy that was set before Him was the joy unspeakable. It was this joy that made Him focused even when I when the company of people and women were bewailing and lamenting Him, yet He did not cry or became sorrowful in the process (Luke 23:27-34).
.
The joy that was set before Him enabled Him to endure the cross and despise the shame because He knew He'll become the author and finisher of our faith.
.
When you rejoice with joy unspeakable over this situation you're presently going through, it is then that you can receive the outcome of your faith - what you're trusting God for. Wearing a sorrowful look because of the situation won't help you to conquer the situation and it would destroy the outcome of your faith.
.
The devil is so deceptive that he would make you see reasons why you should be sad or sorrowful, so that your strength to overcome will be channeled to worry or sorrow. And if you allow sorrow to grip your heart because of what you're passing through, your spirit will be broken (Prov. 15:13).
.
Do you want to receive the outcome of your faith in God concerning that situation? Don't look at those things that are seen but see the unseen that God is about to do for you and rejoice in the Holy Ghost with joy unspeakable.
.
Ask for the grace to rejoice always even in the midst of adversity.
