'BE DEAD TO SIN'

"Knowing this that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that hereafter we should not serve sin" - Romans 6:6
.
Do you know that you're not just dead to one sin but all sin? Christ came to die for all your sin so that you can be alive to God in righteousness.
.
For you to be dead to sins, you must understand two things: what God has done for your sins through Jesus' death on the cross and how you must access them.
.
To be dead to sin means to become unresponsive to the appeal and demands of sin through the flesh. Physically, a man that is dead can't sin because the life of sin or the strength to sin has been destroyed in him.
.
To access victory over sin, know that your old man (flesh) - the strength of sin - has been crucified with Him. And you can know this through revelation and understanding. Once this light dawns on you, you can then pray the crucifixion of your old man into reality by your faith in Jesus Christ (Gal. 2:20).
.
However, to become insensitive to the pangs of sin, you must do the following.
.
1. Don't obey sin in its lust thereof. Sin starts with a desire. The evil desire to sin is great in a life that's not crucified. A baby Christian might have a desire to fight but when he disobey the desire as a result of his mind renewal in the Word, he won't sin.
.
2. Don't yield your body members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin. You become a servant of whom you yield your body to obey, whether of sin to death or obedience to righteousness.
.
Dearly beloved, it's not impossible to live a sinless life. If Jesus came to live without sin, you also can grow to overcome sin.
