'HAVE YOU TASTED IT?'

"If so be you have tasted that the Lord is gracious" - 1 Peter 2:3
.
In Psalm 34:8, David exclaimed, "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him". Is it possible to taste God? Is God not a spirit? Can a spirit be tasted? How can I taste God?
.
It takes the spirit of a man to encounter God as a spirit. If you must taste the graciousness or the goodness of God, you need to encounter Him personally. You cannot encounter God if you're religious, only a personal relationship with Jesus does.
.
Many have testified of how good and kind that God is in the areas of their lives that He has demonstrated His goodness. You too can enjoy His graciousness if you would encounter Him.
.
Without the first encounter of salvation, you cannot have access to the treasures and goodness of God (John 3:5). Salvation brings you into the kingdom of God. Those who are outside God's kingdom will enjoy a minute portion of His blessing, although it doesn't stop them from going to hell if they fail to embrace His offer of salvation.
.
It is through Jesus that you can have access to taste (Experience) God. Hence, you need to have a relationship with Jesus. This relationship makes you become one of His disciple. When you're one of His faithful disciple, you'll enjoy a master-servant benefits which the salvation experience cannot give you.
.
Nonetheless, you must possess the ability of bringing Jesus into every situation of your life. It could be through prayer, obedience, fasting, praising God and so on. If you can't bring Christ into your situation, you won't also be able to taste God's goodness.
.
Christ was invited to the wedding at Cana of Galilee and He restored the finished wine. When the storm came, He commanded peace be still. Have you tasted that the Lord is gracious?
