A Journey to Delta State: Lesson 6

(The Safest Place to Journey Through Life)
.
My return journey to Lagos was much more faster and smoother than when we were going to Delta State. No breakdown or stopovers except for when we had to refuel in Agofure gas station at Ore.
.
I woke up early, did the needful before we had our corporate devotion. Myself and friends returned to our destination. I was fortunate to get a vehicle to the park where I'll get a bus to Lagos.
.
At about the same time I left Lagos for Delta state, past eight in the morning, our bus moved. Inside the bus, a fourteen seating capacity bus, a nursing mother sat next to me. At first, I felt I'll be disturbed, but I enjoyed the company of her baby; a girl child of less than a year old and the Holy Spirit taught me lessons about little children.
.
Do you know that until you learn to walk with God as a little child, you'll never enjoy true intimacy with Him and the benefits attached?
.
As we were journeying, the baby was playing, smiling and at the same time troubling her mother. She wasn't moved an inch as the bus was swerving left and right due to pot holes. She sat on her mother's lap confidently.
.
The safest place to be is in God's hands, in the coffers of His secret place. No wonder David said, "He that dwell in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty". The secret place of the most High is not in the recital of Psalm 91, it's for people who as a child, has a dwelling place where they meet with their Father on consistent basis.
.
You can't dwell safely with God if you don't have a personal relationship with Him. This is not about going to church or being religious, it's about aligning your will and life to His.
.
She did not worry about what to eat or what to drink, all she did when she was hungry was to whine and her mother understood the sign. Every time she made that sound, her mother breast feed her. Jesus said, "Take no thought on what to eat, drink and be clothed on; you don't even have to worry about tomorrow" because your heavenly Father knows what you need. Yours is to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all other things shall be added unto you.
.
Seek to be in His kingdom right here on earth (John 3:5). And live out His will completely.
.
Why are you worried with the cares of life when you have a Father that's capable of helping you? Your problem isn't because God cannot save but because you cannot pay the price to tarry in the secret place where you will enjoy an unlimited supply for your every need.
.
You can't afford to journey through life on the strength of your flesh (experience, education, exposure), you need help. God will help you, likewise the devil will offer you help. Who would you bow to? See, you can't seat on the fence (Matt. 6:24). Serve God if you want to but I'll strongly and passionately encourage you to serve God genuinely and be intimate. Don't play church or religion when God doesn't know you as His son or daughter.
.
On her mother's lap, she'll stretch her legs over to where I was and make me uncomfortable. With God, you can have all your enemies under your footstool. Sit with Him. Learn of Him. Take His yoke upon you. Just ensure you do not leave His secret place. Do not let fame, power, money, ministry or anointing take you away from Him. Anything that takes you away from God will destroy you, even marriage or ungodly relationship will do.
.
Because her legs weren't firm enough to walk and the instability of the bus, her mother had to guide her with her two hands. See, you can't journey through life without a guardian. How old, anointed or knowledgeable you think you are that you can survive in this ancient world that is older than you? God said, "I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go and I will guide you with my eyes".
.
God is only going to guide His children. He doesn't guide the multitude or those who have no intimate walk with Him. Your head knowledge will fail you in making the right decisions in life - whom to marry, where to live, the job to take, when and where to relocate and so on. You need God's guidance, no wonder Jesus said when the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all truths.
.
She received everything her mother gave her and did to her. There were times she spanked her, carried her drew her closer to her embrace. She'll cry but will never leave her mother. If you don't receive the kingdom of God as a little child, you won't inherit it.
.
One shocking thing I also discovered about her was that when her mom's relative tried to carry her, she cried so loud trying to get away from her. This reminds me of Jesus' word, that a stranger will they not follow because they know his voice. All my efforts to play with her and carry her proved abortive. I reiterate, do not let anything or anyone take you away from God.
.
Lastly, I lost count of the many times she ate. The hungrier you are for God, the more of Him you're filled with. David said as the deer pants after the water so my soul pants after you. What are you hungry for - miracle, wealth, breakthrough, prosperity, answers to your prayers, anointing or God? Redefine your hunger for God. What you hunger for determines how you'd fare in the journey of life.
.
Dearly beloved, make God your pursuit and not church or other things people seek for. Seek His kingdom and righteousness. Tarry in His secret place. Your secret place is the place where He comes to wine and dine with you.
