'HOW TO NUMBER YOUR DAYS'

"So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom" - Psalm 90:12
.
A day that is not numbered is a day that cannot be accounted for. To number your days is to use it wisely. Why would Moses pray to God to teach him to number his days if he could plan it the way he wanted? This shows that only God can teach you what to do to make the wise use of your life.
.
How can you number your days?
.
1. Work the works of Him that sent you to earth (John 9:4). Doing your secular job or pursuing your ambition is good but the best thing to do is to do what you're send to the world to fulfill. God will not commend you for how successful you were on earth in pursuing your way, He'll only applaud you for fulfilling His purpose on earth.
.
2. Be productive with the use of your time. Part of the blessings God pronounced upon mankind is the blessing of fruitfulness (Gen. 1:28). How productive is the use of your time on daily basis? A productive use of your time is a productive use of your life. How you productively use your time today shows the kind of future you'd have tomorrow. Remember, the future doesn't start tomorrow, it starts today.
.
Procrastination, laziness and idleness are the enemy of living a productive life. Instead of spending hours on social media or on unnecessary gossip or visit, make your time productive. Your time cannot be productive if you have not discovered the meaningful thing you're to do with it.
.
3. Make your time count for God. What you do with your time determines the condition of your life in eternity. Invest your time in what outlives time. Invest in your spirit man and don't concentrate your efforts on your outer man that would perish. Invest more in prayer, fasting, studying the word, meditation, listening to godly music and sermon.
.
Have you allowed God to teach you how to number your days or you're living your days the way you want without His input? Reflect. Make amends now!
