Some have been asking me how to tell their God's will, "Will you marry me?" To avoid heart breaking rejection. No big deal about it. It's as simple as it is, say "will you marry me?" Period!
The big problem, where many guys fall flat on their faces is doing what is important in a dry, shabby, over spiritual way. For instance, you don't pull her aside after the church service and mumble something that looks like a marriage proposal with mouth odour and your armpit all sweaty, dirty and brown! Your hair is begging to be combed, your shoes are dusty and your over all appearance is something any lady wants to forget, puleeeeeeeezee! Just shut up and get some bath!
Alright. You should have known your Cinderella for a while not a stranger you met on facebook. You have studied her, known her likes and dislikes and knows what thrills her, your proposal should go in line with her taste. If she hates public attention, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, do not propose in a shopping mall. If she loves surprises, there are countless ways to prop up "will you marry me?" that will make her fly right out of her seat and give you a big YES!
Be well groomed buddy. Good bath, casual but masculine wear, that makes you look, "waoh!" You can wear a simple T-shirt on a Jeans or Chinos, it's fine. And you may be in suit if you are coming from the office or wear your native, just wear something you are comfortable with. You may go on date, talk, eat and pop up the big question after the meal or simply drop your ring in the ice cream. Tell her your intention after she finds it.
You may lit "will you marry me?" candle on the floor when she comes to visit or during her or your birthday. You may split the proposal in five banners, ask some friends to lift it behind you as you hold her hand.
There are so many creative ways to create a big memory for her and get her nodding, yes, yes, yes!!!
But note: How you propose does not determine the sweetness or longevity of the marriage. It is the quality of the relationship that matters. Nevertheless, whatever is what doing at all, is worth doing well.
Do not propose until you have prayed, studied her well and you are sure beyond every shadow of doubt she is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Don't go breaking ladies hearts after all the drama please. Get your full conviction before you pour sweet nothings into her ears. May you not mischoose in Jesus name. See you next time. God bless you. Cheers!
