"And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God; walk before Me and be you perfect" - Genesis 17:1
It is not the day a man gave his life to Christ that really matters, what matters most is the day he began to walk with God personally and consistently.
Working for God is all about service or activities carried out for His cause but walking with God is all about having an intimate relationship with Him.
Not everyone that works for God has a walk with God but you can never walk with God and not work for Him.
Dearly beloved, God is more interested in your walk with Him than in your work for Him (Matt. 7:21-23).
According to Good News Translation, walking with God is to obey Him and to always please Him. Are you walking in obedience to God and His commandments? Does everything about your life pleases Him?
It's good to know the date you gave your life to Christ but does God have a track record of your walk with Him?
Walking with God entails fellowshipping with Him via daily prayers and meditation on His word. It's not about being religious, it's about your relationship with the One who made you.
Don't allow your work for God replace your walk with God. There's nothing in this world that can be compared with walking with God because it is the secret place of the Most High where He commune with His children.
Don't be a Martha kind of Christian, be the Mary kind that delights in sitting at His feet on daily basis to hear from Him.
