Give Yourself Time!

Time doesn't wait for no one. We all have 24 hours per day and whatever we do with it is totally up to us!

In as much as we are up and doing; time will definitely tell who's actually making it count. Therefore, time is the best judge.

If you are a student studying in a high school, college or university, at a particular time you are expected to graduate and move on to the next phase of your life. Time not only measures day and night but tells so much more about seasons gone, current or yet to come. It's work is just, prompt and diligent without favour.

Because time is not friendly doesn't mean you should be harsh on yourself, stress yourself out, kill yourself with worries or make you shallow more than you can chew at a time.

What am I not saying?

I'm not saying you should lay back and watch or get lazy. I'm not saying you should sleep and expect tangible results while you didn't put in the work over time.

Here's what I'm saying:

For those who are putting in the work over time - "great things take time." Nobody great today became what they are over night. The reality is, it takes more than time and you are the one to find other things needed for you to achieve success in your pursuit of life.

The following might help you:

1. Life is in stages: Is a proven fact that life is in stages just like the picture above describes the metamorphosis of a butterfly. You cannot jump the stage(s) that bring(s) about your maturity into your full self as each stage will prepare you for next!

2. Be patient: You cannot rush each stage of your life that's suppose to take you to the next one because you may not survive the next one if you are not fully prepared for it. The life we live in is organic and many factors are meant to slow us down to teach us a lesson that would prepare us for challenges ahead!

3. Complexity: The bigger your dream(s); the bigger your challenge(s) and thereby causing delay(s) to fulfillment of that dream(s). The challenges you are facing in your life is paramount to time is taking you to get to the finish line of congratulations! So, ".....count it all joy......" (James 1:2-8).

I know a lot has been said about Tiger Woods' come back to win the Masters but I'd rather use this example to encourage you.

Do you know it takes Aston Villa 109 years to win over MillWall?

Think about that and find out how they come about it by reading about it via this link below:

All the best as you overcome in your pursuit of life.

  1. Thank you for this, life is in stages, life is organic. It is meant to grow; it therefore has a starting point and an end. So does everything else in life! Thank you for this piece.
